  Begun as a showcase for the culinary offerings of senior care communities in Maryland, the LifeSpan-hosted Taste of Senior Living competition has grown to an event worthy of a Michelin rating.  During the annual Taste of Senior Living, local chefs compete in several categories with dishes judged by both celebrity judges and attendees on qualities such as appearance, taste, and texture.  Dishes in the categories of entrée, dessert, appetizer/soup/salad are sampled and voted upon by attendees as they sip wine from souvenir wine glasses and network with others in the senior care community. At the end of the night the coveted "Silver Spoon" is awarded and new champions are crowned.  Join the LifeSpan and Beacon Institute staff at this year's event to experience for yourself what the Taste of Senior Living has to offer.
