Advocacy & Public Policy
A major part of LifeSpan Network's mission is rooted in providing leadership on behalf of our members on public policy issues in Maryland and the District of Columbia that confront the long-term care industry. Over the past several years, LifeSpan's advocacy has led to maximizing Medicaid reimbursement for the services our providers render, as well as stemming the tide of needless and burdensome regulations that stifle innovation in the delivery of quality care to our seniors.
At the same time, we have worked with Maryland and D.C. government to raise standards to improve the care offered in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities and medical adult day care centers. The LifeSpan Network will continue to guide our membership as the preeminent long-term care association in the region and serve as the architect of solutions for issues that challenge providers and policy makers.
