MISSION STATEMENT
To create a network of seniors for the purpose of promoting and supporting, in
coordination with LifeSpan's positions, public policy initiatives that
benefit Maryland and DC seniors, particularly, those in institutional
or at risk of placement in institutional settings.
About Us
LifeSpan’s Grass Roots Senior Network consists of senior care professionals and interested individuals who are working together to make a difference in the quality of care for today’s seniors. Through the Grass Roots Senior Network you are able to:
- Get connected with other concerned seniors and professionals
- Learn about issues affecting seniors
- Discuss how to make positive change
- Communicate our concerns to public officials
- Participate in the process
- Get involved in the Network. Together we can make a difference and we will be heard. There is power in numbers!
LifeSpan’s Grass Roots Senior Network is fully funded by its member providers. Our member organizations care for over 45,000 seniors in settings that span the care spectrum. LifeSpan’s members include assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, senior housing and adult day services. The size and diversity of our membership gives the senior care community greater visibility and strength, as does our connection with other important groups such as MANPHA, ALFA and AAHSA.
