Transforming Rural Health in MD: Committee to Support Award Implementation

Maryland was pleased to receive a Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Notice of Award on December 29, 2025. We are now in discussions with CMS regarding approved activities and adjusted budget details. Your input and perspective was critical to our ability to represent the needs of our rural communities in our application for the RHTP. As we move forward, we are eager to continue gathering and incorporating your feedback. To help support this, we are creating a Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Committee, made up of volunteer members representing rural Maryland. This group will offer input and advice as the Department implements the program. Additional information, including the application to serve on the Committee, is available here.
Organizations seeking funding through RHTP will not receive any extra benefits from participation on the Committee. Competitive grant opportunities will be posted on the Maryland Rural Health Transformation Program webpage, when available.
