In Memory of Ronald H. Carlson

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Ronald H. Carlson on January 10, 2026.
Ron was a visionary leader and the founder of the Maryland Regional Direct Services Collaborative. He believed deeply in bringing people together to solve hard problems and spent his life advocating for direct care workers and stronger, more equitable communities.
His impact lives on in the leaders he mentored, the systems he helped build, and the many people whose lives were better because of his work. Ron will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to public service.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Priscilla, and to all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. He will be greatly missed.
