Registering with FAMLI and inviting team members

Dear Stakeholders,
All employers with at least one employee localized in Maryland are required to register with FAMLI. Registration is the first step to being in compliance and making sure you’re prepared for next steps, including inviting other team members to join your FAMLI account.
It’s important to note that only an Authorized Officer can complete the initial registration with FAMLI. An Authorized Officer is an individual who is legally permitted to act in an official capacity on behalf of an employer. This can include roles like:
- owner or partner;
- executive director;
- CEO, CFO, COO, president or secretary;
- household employer; or
- another designated individual with equivalent legal authority as specified by the employer’s bylaws.
Once an Authorized Officer registers, they can invite additional team members to join their FAMLI account and assign permissions, including:
- an additional Authorized Officer
- Payments Reporting Manager (PRM)
- Administrator
