2026 Event Recap:
We started the week with an INCREDIBLE day at Turf Valley, where we hosted our LARGEST Golf Tournament to date!
More than 180 golfers and 25 dinner participants, staff, and volunteers, participated in a day filled with golf, networking, a silent auction, and cocktails and dinner, along with celebrity golfers including Orioles Hall of Famer Mike Bordick and Orioles alum Rick Krivda, Ravens alumni and Super Bowl Champions Ray Rice, Corey Ivy, Daniel Wilcox, and Ravens alumni Evan Oglesby as well as Maryland Basketball Hall of Famer Walt Williams.

The Beacon Golf Tournament is an annual fundraising/networking event run by the Beacon Institute, the educational affiliate of LifeSpan Network. It is as an opportunity for networking among industry partners, supporters, and members in the senior care/services sector. The tournament typically uses a scramble format (teams of players where each plays from the best shot).
Post-golf, there is usually a cocktail reception, dinner, and award ceremony. Lunch or boxed lunch for participants is provided, and check-in and driving range access are arranged ahead of the tee time. The event serves as a fundraiser (supporting Beacon Institute’s educational mission) and as a networking opportunity for LifeSpan’s members, business associates, sponsors, and industry stakeholders. It also fosters community and engagement among attendees in the senior care and services field.
