FIRST Hospital Accreditation – Deer’s Head Hospital Center

| Purple Flag joined leaders, staff, and community members on May 12 to celebrate the official flag-raising at Deer’s Head Hospital Center. The recognition celebrates Deer’s Head’s Purple Flag accreditation for its dementia-specific skilled nursing program, making it the first hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the nation to receive the distinction. Second Accreditation in Maryland Deer’s Head has the added distinction of being the second provider overall in Maryland, the second member of the LifeSpan Network and the 38th provider overall to receive the Purple Flag accreditation. The honor further strengthens a growing partnership network focused on advancing dementia care across the region. “This milestone reflects the dedication of our entire team.
